Molecular Sieves for Refrigerant Drying

Refrigeration systems are widely used in air conditioning, industrial production, agriculture, and construction. In these systems, molecular sieves play a crucial role due to their superior adsorption properties—especially in adsorption-based cooling systems. Molecular sieves designed specifically for refrigerants are used as filter cores, providing continuous deep drying by removing moisture from refrigeration and air conditioning systems, thereby preventing freezing and corrosion.

Functions of Molecular Sieves in Refrigeration Systems:
• Deep Dehumidification: Controls dew point (as low as -70°C), effectively adsorbing water from refrigerants to prevent ice crystal formation that can clog expansion valves or corrode pipelines.
• Acid Removal: Adsorbs acidic substances (e.g., HCl, HF) generated by refrigerant decomposition, preventing metal corrosion and lubricant degradation.
• Impurity Filtration: Selectively adsorbs organic impurities (e.g., waxy substances), maintaining refrigerant purity and extending compressor service life.

JOOZEO’s specialized molecular sieves for refrigerants offer low dew point control, high mechanical strength, and low wear. Through dehumidification and acid removal, they improve system efficiency and cooling performance. In traditional systems, molecular sieves ensure safe operation by selectively adsorbing impurities and moisture. Once saturated, they should be replaced promptly.
